About Marian:
Marian Westley is an oceanographer at the Geophysical Fluid Dynamics Laboratory at the Princeton University Forrestal Campus. She completed her magazine fellowship at Newsweek in 1998.
“It was an amazing experience,” Marian said of her time at Newsweek. “I was one of the only fellows sponsored by a professional society and the AGU staff really made me feel special!”
Marian earned her Ph.D. in oceanography from the University of Hawaii at Manoa. She also has a bachelor of arts in physics and English from Yale University.
