Show Me Your Science Without Telling Me Your Science – AGU21 Photo & Video Contest

 Contest Scope:

Show us your science without telling us your science!

Send us a video clip under 30 seconds or up to four photos that best describe your work as an Earth and space scientist – but without telling us what you do. Maybe it’s a video of your most recent field site, a photo of the instruments you use in your lab or a selfie with your state legislator.

Send us your entry by midnight ET on 15 November.

AGU will select five finalists from the submissions to display at AGU Central during #AGU21 and on our social media channels. Finalists will be selected based on the following criteria:

  • Creativity
  • Engaging content
  • Unique perspectives
  • Displays your science in a fun way

The five finalists will be put in a random drawing for the grand prize of a free in-person registration to #AGU22. The other four finalists will receive $25 to use at the AGU Central store at #AGU21 or #AGU22, or at the in-person stores at Ocean Sciences Meeting 2022, AbSciCon 2022 or Frontiers in Hydrology 2022.

During AGU’s Fall Meeting, attendees can “guess the science” depicted in each of the five entries. Those who guess the scientific section of all five entries correctly will be entered into a separate random drawing for the chance to win a free in-person or hybrid registration to #AGU22! We will provide more details at the end of November.
