Guess the scientific sections shown in the photos and videos from AGU scientists for a chance to win one of two free registrations to #AGU22!
AGU scientists submitted photos and videos depicting their science without actually saying what science they study. Now, it is up to you to guess their science from the images and videos.
People who correctly guess the scientific section of all 10 photos and videos and submit their completed form by 12 Noon CST on 16 December, will be entered into a drawing to win one of two free registrations to #AGU22.
Timeline:
- Submission deadline is 12 Noon, CST, 16 December 2021
- Drawing is held at 2 PM CST on 16 December 2021 and winners are announced via social media.
Contest Rules:
Eligibility:
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must agree to the contest terms and conditions on the contest entry form.
- Employees and interns of American Geophysical Union and their immediate family members (children, spouse/domestic partner, parents and siblings) and others living in their household are not eligible or are excluded from the contest.
Contest Entry:
- Complete the entry form and guess the correct section for each of the 10 photos and videos.
- Entrants must select only one scientific section from the dropdown list that represents the content shown in the photo/video. Sections are:

Selection of Winners & Prize Criteria:
- Completed forms must be received by 12 Noon CST on 16 December.
- Those entrants who correctly guess the section of all 10 questions on the submission form will be entered into a randomized drawing to win one of two free registrations to #AGU22.
- The drawing for the winners of the Fall Meeting registrations will take place at 2 PM CST and winners will be publicly announced via social media. A member of AGU staff will contact winners via email to explain details for how they will receive their free registration to #AGU22.
- #AGU22 registration may not be exchanged for cash. It is non-transferable and non-refundable. Registration is only valid for the 2022 AGU Fall Meeting.
- By submitting a form to enter the contest for a free Fall Meeting registration, you are agreeing that AGU may use your image/name and social media handle (if applicable) in promotional materials.
